We are dedicated to higher education for single mothers, and this includes parenting education. Our programs foster positive parenting practices, enhance family strengths through promising discipline techniques, and foster deep connections between parent and children. These programs also offer age-appropriate social/emotional, cognitive, and developmental milestone training.
Mentoring/Leadership
SMILE. provides participants with traditional one-to-one mentoring with a specialist from our team of mentors whose aim is to assist with the expansion and development of their mentees. They deliver continuous support and share experiences, skills, and knowledge to develop upon each participant’s learning throughout their time with SMILE. We want to help our participants become the best version of themselves to achieve career and personal ambitions.
Employment Training and Counseling
Our SMILE team of trained, knowledgeable, and experienced experts facilitate a variety of employment training and counselling programs. Our programs are centered around investing in our participants while providing the necessary skills to thrive in today’s competitive job market. Our workshops include, resume writing, career and employment counselling, interview techniques, career exploration and computer training.
